i've been told that it is better to give than to receive..
then why do i feel so empty?
i feel like i give all i can, but am empty handed..
maybe i am giving to the wrong places
maybe i do not see what i am receiving
maybe i'm just not looking in the right spots
maybe i am simply being selfish
for it is far better to give than it is to receive
but once in awhile,
i'd like to feel like my giving is worth it..
